Grand Kali Kavacham - antidote for current malefic transits of Shani and Rahu

Rahu and Shani (Saturn) are the most malefic of the 9 planets. Shani brings grief, separation, obstacles, delays and disappointments. Rahu's nature is similar to Shani. Rahu can also amplify or exacerbate the effects other planets. Since Rahu entered the sign of Libra (Tula Rashi) early in 2013, he has conjoined the planet Saturn (Shani) and the interaction between them has increased their malefic tendencies. Over this last 4 - 5 months, Rahu and Shani have caused much suffering in people's lives.

Those with planets in Libra (Tula), Aries (Mesha), Cancer (Karka) and Capricorn (Makara) have been affected. Also impacted are those people running major or minor planetary periods ruled by Shani, Rahu and Venus (Shukra). It should be noted that when Guru (Planet Jupiter) enters Mithuna (Sign of Gemini) at the end of May, his benefic aspect/gaze falling on these 2 malefics will bring relief to some: particularly those running planetary period ruled by Shani, Rahu & Venus (Shukra). But for those not benefited by Guru's transit into Gemini, the malefic conjunction of Shani and Rahu continues until July 2014.

Things are now much calmer. But it certainly has been a rocky few months.

On the days of the yagyas, I devoted myself to saadhana (spiritual practice)- actually I tried to "do" saadhana but could "do" nothing except lie in the saadhana room in a semi-swoon, feeling like I was being "done".
