KURMA JAYANTI
Day of Vishnu's Tortoise Incarnation (Kurma)
Day of Stability
KURMA Avatar is Lord Vishnu's incarnation as tortoise. The following legend from the Puranas tells us its origin. In the saga of the ongoing battle between gods and asuras (demons), at one time the gods lost their strength. This was due to the curse of the sage, Durvasa, who had presented a garland of flowers to Indra, king of gods, who carelessly gave it away to his elephant Airavata who promptly trampled it. Due to this indiscretion, the sage cursed the gods upon which they lost all of their might.

The Devtas approached Vishnu for help. He directed them to add medicines, then churn the milk ocean using Mt Mandara as the churning rod. He told them to ask the asuras to help them lift the mountain in exchange for a share of the nectar of immortality which would ensue from the churning. Both the devatas and the asuras churned the ocean using the serpent Vasuki as the rope. At the start, playing a Machiavellian trick, Indra, king of the gods asked the asuras for the head end of vasuki. But asuras suspecting foul play, took the head end, only to be deceived as the poison from Vasuki was slowly weakening them. But as churning was proceeding the mountain was sinking. It was then that Lord Vishnu took the form of the tortoise KURMA and kept the mountain afloat. As soon as the bowl of amrita, the nectar of immortality was out, the asuras grabbed it. Then Lord Vishnu took the form of Mohini, a beautiful maiden, and seduced the asuras into letting her distribute the nectar and also to abide by her order of distribution. As soon as the devatas were served the maiden disappeared thus deceiving the asuras and giving the devas the advantage.

Stability is the key to success at all spheres of life. Without this one cannot achieve the desired goal.

Balance in life is also essential as it provides profound support for success.

This effect of this yagya is the support and protection of inner peace along with
removal of obstacles to success and prosperity. The yagya connects you with the
supportive and protective aspect of Vishnu and the prosperity that comes

biggest & lead the way to victory

The object of Kurma Avatara was to enable the recovery of
precious things which were lost in the randomness of life and thus enjoy the
spiritual and worldly life at the same time. For

"The green light was given to J's new show(after yagya was performed) - discussions about giving it the go-ahead had earlier stalled with indications that it would not be commissioned. Production is now underway and all is going smoothly." L Australia

It's all going to be OK. love and blessings, J Australia
During the eight days of yagya, I began to feel very peaceful and could see very clearly my direction and position in life. I do not ever remember feeling as positive and calm as I have since the Yagya has been completed. It is now almost 2 weeks, and I have had the usual low days, but have felt at peace with myself and the low times have paled in insignificance. Thank you Ganesh. B Australia
"The vedic realm delivered the protection - the arrows bounced off - for many hours the barrister asked long, tricky questions and I was able to answer all of them. So I now know what that term "arrows bouncing off" means. Thanks and please pass on my appreciation to the pundits." B Australia
Dear Ganesh, I thought you might be interested in the visible manifestations of my saturn yagya. The most significant change was probably in my daughter rather than in me. At 10 she had become argumentative, confrontational and very needy. We had been working on this for some time. The week after the yagya she totally changed. Not her personality, but her attitude. She suddenly, overnight became helpful, discursive rather than argumentative, co-operational rather than confrontational and discussed what she needed to be happier. For her it was a great relief to be able to manage without becoming catty, angry or solitary. For me it was also a great relief and I could now relax and trust that she was OK; wonderful for both of us." P. Aust
"We have been desperately trying to get assistance ... for two years, but this is the first time that they have actually taken action... this is a turning point in his recovery, definitely the result of divine grace." N Australia
"Hi Ganesh, Just wanted to let you know I'm feeling so much better after that wonderful yagya. There has been a total shift in the dynamics between my father and I which is very liberating. Thank you for all your assistance in this. Bye for now," A. Australia
